If you went on a interview...

On late Tuesday afternoon and they told you to "give them a few days" to make a decision, when would you expect to hear back from the potential employer? If the interview lasted for two hours and you clicked with the two people who conducted the interview, would you expect a call back right away?

I did and he said "give us a few days to make a decision, we will let you know eighter way. I throughly enjoyed our interview"

I don't know what to think. The last job I had was through a friend, so I have not been on an interview in over 5 years.

Re: If you went on a interview...

Dina- they may really have liked you a lot but tons of things could come up that could cause a delay..

Ex:
1.Out of respect for a coworker, they want to ask him if he would like to interview you too.
2. They want to make you an offer but are not sure on salary to offer.
3. His wife got heat stroke and he has been out of the office! Chat Icon

So many things professionally and personally could keep them from calling right away- even if they loved you.....

If you went on Tuesday afternoon I would wait at least 3 days so either Friday afternoon or Monday morning.

Ariella,

Bless you!! Chat Icon
I am starting to freak out a little. I felt that the interview went great (it was a two hour interview). I hope that deciding what salary to offer me is what is keeping them from calling right away. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
Seriously, thanks everyone for helping me to calm down and not get ahead of myself.

Then I would call a week from the interview. That's more that a few days.
