7 months and wearing same clothes?
This girl that works with me is 2 weeks ahead of me and hasnt bought a thing of maternity clothes and still wears the same clothes from prepregnancy. Is that normal? I would feel like I was squishing the baby not to mention I think its better looser then tighter.

I'm going to say that that's pretty abnormal. I can see wearing pre-preggo shirts, but not pants.

Re: 7 months and wearing same clothes?
Most of my pre-preggo pants still fit, but I have to wear the bella band with them
Now tops are a different story....

really? I am jealous bc we are due the same week. My belly is so hard right now and formed I could never fit into my prepreggo pants. I am unsure how the bella band works.

The bella band goes over the top part of the pants and you leave them unzipped or buttoned.. Its wide, like the band at the top of the maternity pants.. I was not "small" by any means pre-preg. I was a size 16. I asked my dr and he said that this is normal..but I also havent gained much weight till this point.. which he also said is fine. But I guarantee come talk to me in another month or so and I wont be in these pants anymore.

Re: 7 months and wearing same clothes?
its probably not in the norm, but i know myself and a fellow coworker were pregnant at the same time, and neither of us needed to go into maternity clothes till our 7th month either.

Re: 7 months and wearing same clothes?
I worked with a girl who could not afford maternity clothes. She bought like two or three shirts, but wore all of her regular pants unbuttoned and under her belly. I always felt sad for her when she would talk about how she couldn't afford any more clothes.

Sooooo.. how did she think she'd afford a baby if she couldn't afford a pair of pants? You'll never know just how much a baby costs, just look at all the unexpected expenses with Ava. You could buy a whole closets worth of clothing!
I'm due same week as you PrincessP and still wear all my regular clothes. I'm the queen of track suits and gaucho pants But with baby #1, I was in maternity by 5 months, just carried differently.
For work though I bought some maternity clothes because looking like an Italian Sausage is NOT professional.

Re: 7 months and wearing same clothes?
Every womans' body is built diffrently so I couldn't say it was or wasn't the 'norm'. My girlfriend and I were 5 days a aprt in our pregnancies and I carried all belly and was not in meternity until my 6th month (small) and still just wearing prepregnancy stuff. I didn't get big until the end of the 7th month where I suddenly went from smalls to larges. My GF on the other hand was in large maternity at 5 months and we are built the same.
My cousin also did not wear any materinty through out her entire pregnancy, she carried very tiny. The baby was also 3 pounds when born.
I wouldn'ty compare yourself to another, you sound perfectly healthy. enjoy iy.

I think the point was that she wasn't buying clothes because she was buying things for the baby. Her husband got laid off after she was already pregnant.

Aww.. then she deserves because she oviously knows her priorities. Sorry, didn't mean to sound harsh (NOT AT ALL) just thought pants are nothing, compared to a little one.

Re: 7 months and wearing same clothes?
Just for some clarification...this girls pants were all the way up and definitely no bella band. I just feel bad that the baby "could" be squished. The clothes look tight.
