7 TUBES OF BLOOD?!?!?!
I called to see if I was going to have to have blood taken at my first appt and the girl at the desk said... yes, alot... 7 tubes! Um... I feel like I'm gonna pass out when I get 3 taken! WHAT AM I GONNA DO!????????!!!!!!!!

It's really not that bad. Just talk to the nurse and don't look at the needle and you'll be fine.

its not that bad - it goes fast!!
i had 11 and when they said it i almost died but it really was not as bad as i thought it would be.

I did it and it was fine.
I have had MANY bad experiences with having blood taken and was wishing there was a way to avoid it, but it was fine.
The tech who took my blood was great. She talked to me and made me look out the window.
If you think you might faint, they can let you lay down when they take it.
If I can do it, you can do it. Trust me on this one.

7 tubes is not so bad. Remember, they only stick you once.
My recent "experience" was 17 vials drawn. I think that might be a record :)
Usually, they have a problem sticking me at all. When I was in the hospital it took them 8 STICKS to even get into my veins. Ow!
And I was told that when you fill up one of those bags when you donate blood - it is equivalent to 50 vials.
Don't worry honey - it will be over quickly. Bring some OJ if you think you will feel it in the end. I am sure you won't know it's even gone!

I wouldn't worry about it- it is still less than if you donated blood & you will only get stuck once.
get used to it- b/c throughout pregnancy i've been stuck- let's see....
a whole 2 vials for the NT test which everyone SAYS is a finger prick- yeah right
2 vials for the AFP
2 vials for the 1 hour GD
5 vials for the 3 hour GD

7 tubes is nothing
For one round of testing during my infertility issues I had to give 18.
I gave on average, ten or more vials of blood every month for almost a year.
I can practically take my own blood at this point

Really? That many. I don't remember 7. I remember like 2-3. Really once the needle is in though it's not big deal they're just switching tubes.

Wow, Im surprised you had 2 vials taken for the NT test, mine was a finger prick
I have my AFP tomorrow and it's only 1 vial...
Does your doc have it out for you
