priceline question
has anyone used Price line and was unhappy with their choice (from priceline) the name your price part?

Yes, once. We won an old hotel that was rated 3 Stars- Stained carpets, ripped bed linens, a dirty place. A really awful room. When I complained to Priceline I was directed to speak with the hotel for compensation. Priceline refused to refund any $. I did contact the hotel and they offered me a night for free. No thanks! Priceline did adjust their star level later in the year though
That said, I have used Priceline dozens of times for bids in CA, NY, MA, FL, DC, CT, and VA and was always extremely happy with the winning hotels.

www.betterbidding.com is a good site to try to figure out which hotels you will end up with. Same for www.biddingfortravel.com, but the moderator/owner is really nasty over there.

There was one hotel we stayed at which was eh but for the ten plus times we have done it we were happy with the choices and even happier with the prices.
