ALSO WANTED TO ADD:
THE BLUE BACKGROUND AND THESE PICTURES DO NOT DO THESE DOGS JUSTICE! WHEN VOLUNTEERS TAKE THE PHOTOS--THEY LOOK SO MUCH BETTER--THESE ARE TYPICALLY INTAKE PICS--SO THEY ARE PROBABLY NERVOUS AND JUST NOT GOOD! WHEN YOU SEE VOLUNTEER PICS--THEY LOOK LIKE DIFFERENT DOGS!
and the ACC hasn't had a medical director in 2 years! & un-certified people perform the euthanasia!-disgusting!

I get those updates on Facebook, makes you sick doesn't it. Make sure you read ALL the evaluations on some of those dogs though, some have some serious issues.

totally makes me sick!
but, i do not take the shelter's evaluation of the dog seriously---it is a tense and unfamiliar environment for the dogs--they will act out of character in that type of atmosphere--the tests they do are just not up to par---most dogs are locked up 23 of 24 hours a day--it's a very stressful environment-
for example-some of these dogs come in starving --skin and bones--and the shelter labels them food aggressive--i'd be food aggressive too if i weighed 40 lbs. and was supposed to be 80lbs! i do not find their evaluations accurate or beneficial to the dogs--they are a killing machine!

what i do look for is the volunteer notes about each dog---they are more accurate.

here's the new list for tonight---12/10
sadly, the above list--off the top of my head ginger and omar didn't make it out---not sure about the other 2---i think the 3rd dog was pulled by a rescue and silver the rotti---may not have made it either
at times there have been upwards of 20+ dogs on the list in one night---sadly, the majority don't make it----rescues need more fosters/adopters. fostering can be as short as 2 weeks or as long as the dog gets adopted--if anyone is ever interested in fostering/adopting-send me a FM so i can help you! :)

when the dogs are brought to the shelter they are usually given a new name---but if someone surrendered that dog to the shelter for your aunt they may have told the shelter its name and maybe the shelter kept the name-
i am unable to access facebook right now-but if you have it--go to urgent part 2 death row dogs facebook page and try to search for the dog to see the description of the dog and what shelter it went to (either brooklyn or manhattan)(queens and the bronx do not have shelters-only intake places-which is crazy and doesn't help w/over population in the shelters)
you will have to do a little digging in the photo albums on the facebook page due to the large # of dogs that are in shelters---check the following albums first---safe, gon but not forgotton (the latest one), then super urgents

contact one of the following rescues
rebound hounds
reefuge rescue
zanis furry friends
posh pets
pibble and more
there are many other rescues that can help you get these dogs out to safety---any questions, ask!!
if you can't save them--share them-it helps!

So get this...
Little did I know when I posted about Pinkie that due to strange circumstances she ended up HERE! LOL
I was working with S.N.A.R.R on getting Scoobie out and it took pretty much all night and the following day. Then Courtney from SNARR ran into a huge problem with Pinkie, her fosterer had a problem with their existing dog attacking Pinkie.
Courtney calls me and tells me she can't pull Scoobie because she didn't have a place for Pinkie. After some discussion I offered to temporarily hold Pinkie for at most a week, and if she worked out I would foster her. I also made her promise to work really hard to get scoobie out. He is also safe and pending adoption next month last I heard :O)
Well, Pinkie is the BEST dog on the planet and we are now discussing adopting her! Her new name is Leia (pronounced Lay-ya like Princess Leia from Star Wars).
Her write up was REALLY off the mark, she was actually put in as ExpNoChild (experienced person, no children) and that would have really scared me off if I had seen that when I glanced at her info.
I was just doing them a temporary favor and it wasn't going to be more than a few days. So I didn't think I would even bother trying to integrate her into the house. Plus she came with KC and I wanted to get a few days of antibiotics into her. Luckily I missed her rating because nothing in her evaluation was accurate. She is absolutely fabulous (and I am a pretty critical person when it comes to behavior). She has no aggression issues at all, no resource guarding, no cat aggression, no dog aggression. She backs off super easy but is not shy. She lets you take food, toys and anything else away from her. She already knew a few commands and has already learned more commands and even responds to her new name :o)
Im just so impressed with her. It's crazy how things work out.

******23 F*IN DOGS tonight to be destroyed tomorrow--i haven't seen a kill list this high! Please share this everyone--post to your Facebook page-etc. this is nuts--some are puppies under 1!

they kill like crazy at this shelter :( so sad
anyone ever want to foster/adopt send me a message so i can help you
there are many other dogs at this shelter as well---they are not yet on the to be destroyed list--they will be eventually though

i begging you all to do one of the following (or more!!)
1- please share these pups
2- write to cuomo, bloomberg, senators, department of health---this is disgusting the # of dogs/puppies they kill each day-tell them how things need to change-how they need to build the shelter in the bronx and queens as promised, how the shelter is dirty and how their assessments of these animals need to be improved, etc.
3-donate to rescue groups that pull these pups--i can provide you with a list!
4-become a foster or adopter
5-send dog food, cat food, toys, etc. via amazon to the rescues.
5-spread the word about puppy mills
---------------------------------------------------------
6-get your dog/cat spayed or neutered
7-drop off a bag of dog/cat food to a local shelter
8-donate old towels, sheets, blankets, collars, beds, leashes to shelters or the break the chain program
9-volunteer for animal transport---rescues need people to get dogs/cats from point a to point b
10-love your animals every moment---they are blessed to be in a warm home w/good food and love and kisses and hugs and toys---they are not scared or abused or neglected-they are lucky (and so are you :)
obviously, i am very passionate about this-
Everyone can do SOMETHING to make a difference!  if you ever need any help-im here!
ETA: I've posted over 100 dogs in less than a month and i haven't even posted lists everyday! I'm sure there were close to 200 dogs that were to be destroyed in the last month alone! 200 X 12=2400 dogs per year---i know that total is higher-this is just an estimate! sad:(

the beautiful one in the 3rd row grey/white face got out of the shelter as well as the one below her that is sitting (7 months old)--the other 6 are fighting to stay alive!
the dog in the photo below will be on tonight list (to be destroyed tomorrow)
