the bottom row...1st dog-owner became ill :( not poor pup is on the dreaded list to be killed
row 1 dog 1 =dead
row 1 dog 2=safe
row 1 dog 3=dead
row 2 dog 1 safe
row 2 dog 3=dead

I can't believe they have to put one dog on the list! they suck! Post on Bloomberg's Facebook wall that this killing needs to stop! Don't tell me they really have to kill this dog to make room--one dog, really?? horrible!
AND they killed this 1 dog-

I know :( And I don't mean to make anyone upset by posting these pictures-I know it is a lot to take in. I feel the more people that know what is going on the better. The more people who will fight for these guys (BTW-there is a cat list posted every night too :( )
There are only 2 shelters for all 5 boroughs! There are people who would like to run these shelters and help to make them no kill-we just have to get in Bloomberg's head to make a change.
what we need is:
sharing of these animals
donations
fosters
adopters
people to write to politicians about shelter reform
 together we can make a difference!

Fact #1: No matter how many New Yorkers walk into AC&C shelters this year, what almost none of them knows is that AC&C actually hides more than half of its available animals from the public.
Fact #2: As soon as an animal develops a cold at AC&C, they become invisible. Some senior volunteers will give them affection, but sick animals' chances of being adopted by the public simply disappear. With a few lucky exceptions, once these animals end up in the sick ward, their choices quickly become rescue or "euthanasia".
Fact #3: To find out about an animal in one of those hidden sick areas, you can't call AC&C because they don't answer phones. The only places to find info about animals in danger is Urgent Part 2 - Urgent Death Row Dogs & Pets on Death Row - Urgent Death Row Cats.
Once there, you can learn about pledging toward the rescue of particular animals -- to go to a qualified rescue group. To help rescue groups save more lives from being killed by AC&C, read this: http://on.fb.me/YkaHgi

Yes, more people should definitely know and make a difference! Ever since we adopted our dog from a shelter, I just want to adopt even more and save them. Every single dog deserves to be in a loving home, and they really don't ask for much - just some love. I think it's wonderful that you're bringing awareness and hope one day everyone realizes this.

the 3rd dogs in each row-it is their 2nd night in a row on the list--that means--things are not looking so good for them---they will probably not be spared again :(
please everyone-spread the word--post these dogs on your Facebook and other chat forums--it is the only way they are getting exposure-the Shelter does not showcase them at all---
it's just people like me and you that have to fight for them
send Bloomberg an email that you would like things to change or write on his Facebook wall---there are a ton of people doing this and blowing up his wall--in fact-their posts are getting deleted and they are getting blocked from his page! how terrible is he--that is not who we want running our city--a man who blocks his own people from speaking out about what they believe in-what a disgrace!
