You might do better asking on a bigger board, like Diapering your baby on babycenter.com I found a lot of information there when I was looking into cloth diapering, including info on the earth friendlier disposables.

I'm doing cloth diapers - mainly pocket diapers and I really like them. Let me know if you have any questions. I got a lot of my info from the ladies on babycenter.com.

I have used the 7th Generation before, but not the Tushies so I cannot compare.
They worked great no complaints, the thing I liked best was that they were chlorine free, but they are not widely available near me, I could only find them at one supermarket.

How do you clean them? I really wanted to do cloth, but DH was grossed out by the thought of using our washing machine at home for them, and there are no diaper services on LI that I could find, so that was that.

We clean them in the washing machine. It's really not bad. If it's a really bad diaper I'll rinse it out in the utility sink first, but usually they go straight into the washer. I don't think there are any services on LI. If you google cloth diapers you'll get a lot of information on how to clean them at home.

Yeah, I'd done all the research and bought a bunch of pocketfolds and doublers and all and he said no way.
