Really all you can do is saline, suction, and time. I give my DD benadryl at 23 months old now but I wouldn't with a 8 months old without my ped's approval.

I hope she feels better soon- I hate when they are sick- DH is now and its worse than DDChat Icon

With my DS we elevated the side of his crib where his head is in order to help alleviate the congestion, and we used a humudifier at night.

The combination alleviated his congestion and allowed him to get some sleep at night.

We are in the same boat with our 6 month old. We have the crib elevated on the side he puts his head on, saline, suction, and humidifier at night. It stinks but there's nothing else you can really do for them. I will tell you to pretty much do the same when your DC is 3 too.

try putting her in the car seat for sleeping since that is elevated. It helped a lot with DD - I would keep it in our room next to our bed at night so I could hear her breathing.

Poor thing!

Continue doing what you are doing. My advice is to allow your child to sleep as much as possible, if it means sleeping on you.

Good luck
