8 month old waking up too early

Our 8 month old son has been waking up every morning at 5AM (wide awake) for the day. We can't get him to fall back to sleep until his morning nap a few hours later. This has been going on for about the last two weeks. He's been falling to sleep at night around 8:30 PM (right after his last bottle and diaper change). If we try and keep him up later at night, he still wakes up at 5 AM (sometimes even earlier). What do we do to try and get him to sleep a little later? He used to sleep until 6 or 7 AM. We miss those days.

Is it getting light in his room when he wakes up? Maybe black out shades would help?

DS was like that too for a while. No matter what time he went to bed, he was up between 5-6am..Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
Then he went from STTN to waking 1-2 times a night. Now he is basically STTN most of the week and getting up between 630-730am. Our pedi said a lot had to do with his teething. Tonight he went to bed at 10, he will still be up early. And usually the later he goes to bed, the earlier he wakes up..Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
