It's so strange to think that 8 months ago today, I lost my daughter Sarah. Sometimes it feels like an eternity, and others it feels like yesterday. I know that my little angel looks down on us all of the time...

It's so hard isnt it....
One really cant even begin to express the pain and the hurt...
Like you said knowing that others understand doesnt help the pain. But I have found that as the years go on..it does help to know that you are not alone. I dont know what it is exactly. I think that, unless you've gone through it, you dont realize that the pain lasts a lifetime...
We dont have memories of them to remember. They were taken from us before we were able to have them. So we have nothing to remember that will put a smile on our face. So our memories are only of hurt and despair.
But I can give you a small hope. As Ive gone on to have more children and imagine who they would have been and what they would have looked like...I can sometimes imagine them there with my kids. Sitting in the back seat of the car with their brother and sisters...It's then that I do smile. B/C who knows..maybe they are sometimes there..

My goodness this brought tears to my eyes. I can't imagine what either of you are going through, but I know that when my grandfather died we took comfort in knowing that he was now going to get to meet and be with his son who died as an infant... and the thought that you will all be together again in the next life can at least help you keep that connection you feel - I hope.
