8 ugly tiles in shower stall. What can I do??

So we have a relatively nice bathroom in our master bedroom. I haven't painted it or changed the fixture yet. That's next on the list of projects, but it has to be a cheap project. That being said, the bathroom is all white tiles -- except inside the shower stall where it is white tiles and 8 scattered seashell/beach theme tiles. We don't want to redo all the tiles in the shower. How can I get rid of these or cover them or just get rid of them? I am not building my bathroom's decor around them and won't incorporate that theme, so that's out. Our bedroom's very traditional and I am going based on gold/burgundy towels. Do I just ignore the tiles and decorate how I want? Can I carve them out or something and replace with just a solid color tile in those spots? Please help! :) I was thinking of hanging a shower curtain in front of the doors to just cover them so you wouldn't see them unless you're in the shower but DH doesn't like that idea...

Here's some links:

Just remove the 8 individual tiles, and get replacement ones from HomeDepot or Lowes.

Sometimes removing tiles isnt so easy. When you chip off a tile, then ones next to it can start to come loose. Just an FYI.

I've seen some HGTV shows paing tiles, but I'm not sure how that would hold up in the shower

I did a gut job on my master bath and half bath but, when it came to the main bath, I did a temporary repair.
I installed a new vanity and toilet and a shower surround. She surrounds are like 118.00 at Lowes and go up easily. It is a cheap easy temporary fix.
Good Luck.

we have the same issue - 15 grey/pink flower tiles in the shower. they aren't horrible - but I still cover them with the shower curtain. I think thats the cheapest fix.

My parents reglazed their bathroom in the basement. It doesn't get a ton of use, and they loved the results.
