8week sono. What should I expect?
I know I should be able to see the heartbeat. My real question is, will it be like that first sonogram that Rachel had on Friends? 'I just don't see it' Will the baby need to pointed out, or will we actually see something? I will be 8w4d. It will be my first one.

You should see it no problem. You should see arm buds leg buds, head cord. They are cute
Here is my 7 wk 6dy sono with this baby
The head is on the right and baby is facing down. You can make out arms and legs

Here was ours at 8 weeks 2 days. We heard the heartbeat & you can see the arms & legs & they also took a bunch of blood. Have any q's ready too.

I had an internal sonogram at 9 weeks and you could def. see the baby! big head, little arms and legs

it is different with every office... I had my first appointment to confirm pg at 6 weeks and then a sono at 9 weeks...

I think the first appt is where they actually verify your pregnancy and do an exam. Then they schedule a sono. I think girls that have early sonos are at risk for certain things or have had problems in the past.
I had my first appt at the 6 week mark and my sono is scheduled during the 8th week.

I went at 6 weeks and they just drew blood and took a urine sample, as well as giving me a whole load of information. I made my appt for the 8 wk sono at that first appt.
