egg yolks, well cooked carrot cubes, sweet potato cubes, ripe fruit cut into cubes, ripe avocado. They sell cubed food in baby jars...HAve you tried that?

My son hated chunky food too and I got him over it using those gerber puffs, the ones that look like stars.

Do you still give her baby food?? Start thickening up some of her favorites with cereal to get her used to the "heavier" consistancy.

Let's take peaches for example...thicken them up with some rice cereal and then when she gets used to that take canned peaches and mash them with a fork...then move on to small pieces of peaches...

Re: 9 month odl table foods

My older son was done with baby food at this age, but I can't remember what I fed himChat Icon I know my younger can't chew and swallow as well as my older did, so I have held back on giving him food...but now he is ready too (cries with baby food-doesn't want it).
I have been giving small pieces of pancake, american cheese, chicken, crackers, bread, sweet potatoes, cheerios/puffs, tried pastina (which he hates), strawberries, watermelon, bananas, etc.

ETA: younger is 9 months

My DD is 7 months and is starting to get mad when I give her baby food but goes crazy when the puffs come out and when I use the Nuby net w/fresh fruit. Miss Independence....
