9 month old from Nassau County has the Measles
The Nassau County Department of Health announced that a case of measles has been confirmed in a 9-month-old baby who lives in Nassau County. The child recently traveled internationally to a location with known measles. Residents may have been exposed to this individual with measles if they visited Macy’s at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City on Thursday, January 20th from 3:00 pm to 10:30 pm

uuugghhh...the only thing I dont understand about these measles exposures is how they say people were only exposed at Macys that day during that timeframe Was the baby no where else before he got diagnosed?

Re: 9 month old from Nassau County has the Measles
There is another post about this, FYI...
and I'll say it again! YIKES!
"The virus takes between 10 and 12 days to appear, and an infected person can be contagious for two to four days before and after symptoms are present."
"exposure period lasts three hours after the infected person leaves. "
