Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
While I am reluctant to take something so new, if they need a certain % of the population to take it so that it is effective, I will. But I will not allow my children to take it any time soon.

I voted "unsure" - I am inclined to get it, eventually, but not right away. I do want to wait a while and see if anything comes out about risks or side effects down the road, and then I will decide. But as the PP said, if they need "volunteers" I may look into it more and decide to get it sooner

Not until it's been out for a while so I know if there are any long term side effects. I'm currently going through chemo treatments through the end of Jan, so I don't even know if they would clear me to get it for a while.

Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
Since two independent companies came up with very similar vaccines, with similar results, it increases my confidence in the vaccine quite a bit. I won't be cutting the line to be the first one, but I could see me getting it relatively early.

Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
Unsure. Eventually I would probably feel ok with it, just like with the flu vaccine and any other vaccine. If it's still on the market and it's proven to work then sure.
But I would assume that priority would go to elderly and high-risk people at first. So it will be a little while before it's an issue for my immediate family.

Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
Nope and Coumo is not rushing to give it to NYers so you might have a longer wait.
I also don’t get the flu shot. Couldn’t tell you the last time I had the flu.

Yes, and I am willing to pay extra $$ to get it sooner rather than later.

Considering pharmaceutical companies do not have liability with vaccines (including one for covid) and are not transparent with the side effects of their products, my answer is no. If they ever get liability back, stop lobbing their products to politicians, give unbiased, honest studies, and stop using harmful components, I might give it another thought.

Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
Hell to the No, and I’m considered “vulnerable” / “high risk”. Definitely won’t be giving it to my son.

Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
At first I was an Adamant NO.
Now, I am completely unsure. Definitely not looking forward to the unpleasant side effects it gives the first few days that people have mentioned.
I don't even get the flu shot; but I know this is different. I may some day.
Does anyone know if this is a once in a lifetime thing? Or do you have to get it yearly like the flu?

I haven't been able to find details about how long the vaccine lasts. Since it's mRNA based, there's a chance it lasts a long time, but I don't know.

Fatigue? I wouldn't notice the difference from my day to day life to be honest.

I know. Just fatigue that seems like the mildest side effects of any of the other vaccines. That’s a good sign.
I’m fortunate where I don’t experience side effects from vaccines. With the exception of this year with the Flu shot, where I felt like my arm got punched by the Hulk. But still not “sickly” side effects like others get.

I am unsure. I am imagining my kids getting it and having side effects and then being sent home from school and having to get covid tested.

Yes. If I can contribute to ending this miserable existence that life has become, I'm in.

Re: will you take the new covid vaccine ?
i voted yes.
from what i've been hearing and reading... by the time any vaccine gets to my arm, there will have been millions of people already inoculated. i am not a medical professional, i am not elderly, i am not a person with an underlying medical condition... i fall under "the general public" population.
by the time i get it, a lot of the kinks will have been worked out or enough of us will be inoculated that my "need" won't be so high.
