A dog coughing
Napoleon is almost 2 yrs old. Hes a yellow lab and last night he started coughing- like it sounded like he was going to throw up.
He didnt.......
It stopped and then like 3 hrs later the same thing and its continued on and off all day today.
I dont know if we should take him to the 24hr vet or just hold out until Monday.
What do you think it could be and what would you do about the Vet- go to the 24hr place or go Monday to our regular vet

Get to a vet asap. Dogs coughing is not normal. I would be worried there is something stuck...or kennel cough even. I would not wait. JMO

ITA it may be kennel cough! thats the one & only time our dog had a cough... i hated hearing him cough

Only time our lab coughed as Kennel Cough too, take the pup to the vet.
ETA: I would not wait till Monday. I took her the second day she started coughing and it wound up turning into Pneumonia which was a total disaster.
