A few Breast Pumping Questions from new mommy...
Do you think it is too early to introduce the bottle? the lactation cons. said try and wait about 4 weeks. DD is 2 weeks and I really would love DH to feed her
Also, If I am BF along with pumping (to store) ...can I pump too much and not have anything left for her from the breast itself?
thanks all!

You should pump either AFTER you feed, if you feel that something was left in your breast after she was done or at least 1.5 hours before a feeding.
I would hold off with the bottle for anothe rcouple of weeks.

I held out for 4 weeks, and she takes a bottle like a champ.
I pump before I feed in the mornings and sometimes about a half hour before I pick her up. There always seems to be enough milk.

wait till 4 weeks...it isn't worth the risk. Your husband can do sooo much for the baby. Pump AFTER feedings right now. And use a good quality pump. Your body will take some time to make more milk and get used to pumping. It is not the same thing as a nursing baby. www.kellymom.com has storage information

No, your baby is better at getting the milk out than your breast pump - you will still have milk available after you pump

I introduced it week 1 and she is fine. There was never confusion and my DH was thrilled to be more involved

Re: A few Breast Pumping Questions from new mommy...
We tried a bottle right away but DD preferred the boob. I've been nursing on demand ever since I had DH or mom give it to her. I wouldn't worry about not having enough milk for her as breast feeding is all about supply and demand. When I pumped it was after I fed her or while she was resting. You are doing great
