A Kelly story, as told by DH
After our eventful closing (If you didn't read that last Kelly story, I'd suggest reading it for a good laugh) we headed to our new place. The woman that sold the place had asked if she could leave her cats there during the closing, so she could put them in the pet carrier afterwards. That was fine. We all headed back to the place after the closing. This is where my husband will take over the story......... (My comments are in parenthesis)
We went to the place afterwards, and the woman was still there, gathering the cats and about to leave. She was at her car, talking with this girl, who was obviously a friend.
(Now let me interject here. This girl was cute, with a perky body, wearing a tiny tank top. Not what I wanted to see in all my pregnant glory. Then she comes flying up to us like we were long lost friends.) Turns out, this girl lives across from us, with her father. She must be like 18 or so, as she was talking about working for the supermarket not far from us, starting college soon, and all this other fairly personal stuff. (I was waiting for her to tell us is that she invites her sorority sisters over for lingerie pillow fights. DH would lose every bodily function at that point.)
You see, she has a tendency to lock herself out of her place, and when she does, she would come over to what is now our place to hang out until her father or whomever showed up to let her in. (OH, I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )
As you can imagine, my 9 month pregnant wife was none to pleased with these developing circumstances. For some reason, she doesn't like the idea of an 18 year old college girl randomly stopping by unnanounced. I, however, would have gladly paid double for the place had I known it came with an 18 year old college girl!!!
The woman who sold us the place told us the girl would make a great babysitter, to which Kelly was like, "Yeah...I don't think so." So we went to the new place today and in front of our place is a car that is parked kind of over the parking line, right in front of our place. A little askew. A minor annoyance. We had to go out, came back, and we saw somebody in the car, about to drive off. Kelly said to me, "Good...now we'll see who the idiot is that can't park." As she was saying that, guess who the driver was who looked over, saw us, and waved excitedly at us? You got it. Our brand new 18 year old college friend. Kelly & I had a good laugh, saying, "Yup. It figures!"
(I told Mike that under no circumstance is she allowed in the house, EVER!) It's never a dull moment. Just another chapter for our eventual book.

Re: A Kelly story, as told by DH
oh goodness , she should get a key made up and kept in her purse in a seprerate spot.
WHY the heck do you want her over when you have a newborn to deal with.. tell her to make up another key and give it to you. then she wont stay and only pick up the key..
the drama never ends in your life kelly...

She sounds like a wacko!!!
If you come and go with a key, you should be responsible enough to hold onto it.
And, I know you are great people but at that age, I would not have been jumping up and down to see my neighbors unless they were my age and dragging a keg into their house.

Re: A Kelly story, as told by DH
i can just imagine this cute little perky 18 year old girl i definitely wouldn't let her anywhere near my house either
lately my jealousy is running rampant when i see these cute, UN-PREGNANT ladies prancing around. this morning in the OB's office there were two interior decorators who were working on redecorating the office. they were so well put-together with their little skinny suits... my clumsy, big-bellied pregnant self wanted to knock their heads off!!

Re: A Kelly story, as told by DH
Just let perky college girl babysit a couple of times for screaming teething baby....and make sure that every time you see her you ask her to just watch "junior" for a couple of minutes while you "blah blah"..and she'll keep her distance pretty quick.
