A liitle bit long - UPDATE
About two weeks ago I took an HPt in the night and I got a BFP. In the morning I took two different test anf I got BFN. I called my gyn and she wanted me to come in and take a test. the test came back negative. Let me also add that thi stesting was done about 1 1/2 weeks after my period ended. I should not have taken an hpt at that point but I was anxious and I was feeling some "odd" stuff going on in my stomach.
Fast forward to this weekend... I have had cramping on and off. The kind of cramping i get when my period is about to start. I expected my period some time between yesterday and today. So, I took yet another pregnancy test yesterday and I got a BFP. I took one early this morning and I got a BFP. I took one a couple of minutes ago and I got a BFP.
So.... 1) Is it possible that the blood test was taken to early to detect the pregnancy?
2) Should I call my gyn (I feel like she is going to think that I am nuts)
3) Would you just try to find somewhere else to have the test taken? If so, any suggestions.
4) Can anyone explain why i may be getting these BFP although I had a negative blood test earlier this month?
TIA for your help.
Updated to add:
I AM PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you ladies for taking the time to respond to me yesyerday!!!!!!

Re: A liitle bit long - but I could really use your help
It sounds like you are pg but you took the other tests too early. But that doesn't explain why the one test was positive and the others weren't. Did you look at that test within the alloted time period? If you waited too long it could have been an evaporation line. What brand did you use?
You could wait a few days for af and then call her. Or you could just say.. screw her if she thinks I am nuts and call her anyway. That is what I would do.

As my doctor told me you can always get false negatives but never false positives. You only produce the HCG hormone that the HPT detect when you are indeed PG. Good Luck!

Re: A liitle bit long - but I could really use your help
2 weeks ago I used Clear Blue Digital (BFP) First Response (BFN) Fact Plus (BFN)
Yesterday & Today I used the same 3 test and got BFP
ETA yes I waited out the time period. I didn't even have to wait on the the Clear Blue Digital ...it showed pregnant after about 30 seconds.

Re: A liitle bit long - but I could really use your help
Congrats I would say you are pregnant. I believe that the tests, including the blood test, won't show a positive until the embryo has attached itself to the uterus.

You got a postive on a digital???????? Okay I am stumped! digitals are the least sensitive. This is going out on a limb and I am not a doctor but maybe.... you had twins and one tried to implant but failed and the other attached later and voila! I have no idea if that is even possible. But I think you are pregnant now!!!! Congrats!!!!
ETA: after thinking for a few minutes.. I just think the possible situation I described above is soo impossible. I bet the digital was just faulty and now you are pg!!!

Definately sounds like the blood test was too early. And with all those BFP's, I think it's safe to say you're preggo

Re: A liitle bit long - but I could really use your help
keep in mind that there is always the possibility (no matter how slim) that the digital was faulty and gave you a false positive. right now, though, it sounds like you are preggo. congrats!!!

I agree. I believe I read on POAS.com that some women have reported false readings on the digis. It sounds like the blood test was too early & you are likely pregnant now! Congrats!

Re: A liitle bit long - but I could really use your help
I would say that you are indeed PG but for some reason the other tests & the blood test didn't detect it. It could have been way to early & maybe you just O'ed later. I would call your Dr & explain the situation & I am sure they would redo the test.
