A little disappointed with DH
So although I am not all about the gifts for Mother's Day, I am sad because DH just went out with DD to get something for me only because my mom called him and asked him what he got and I guess he said nothing and she suggested they go together and take DD.
My first Mother's Day and I don't even think DH had a card.

Aww, don't worry. My hubby is out getting me a gift right now, too. At least it's not Mother's Day yet, then I'd be mad.

I am with you. Dh was great my first mothers day, but this year (my second), he is awful. I told him no gifts, but I asked him if he got me a card. His response- its not too late He knows how much cards mean to me, and he couldn't even take the effort to go and get one

I'm sorryyyy. that is so hurtful I know but hoenstly men are absent minded sometimes. i understand this all too well. it happened to me but never got a present.

My DH did the same thing last year --- and I was so upset over it. I never really said anything to him about it but I think he noticed a bit of my disappointment last year because he was out shopping 2 weekends ago this year.

I'm sorry. I don't think mine has gotten me a card (or anything else) either. We are going to brunch. I almost had to find a place and make the reservation myself, but he finally did it the other day. He's been stressed with work, but my first mother's day only happens once.
I hope you're pleasantly surprised tomorrow.

He just needed to get a clue..so many of them are like that. (My DH needed to be told bdays involve dinner AND a gift LOL) Good for your Mom, maybe she saw that one coming and called to avert a disaster (how sweet )
As long as he "gets it" in future years, then all is good.

I was "hinting" I wanted a charm. DH said to me this AM..
"We are going shopping later, and you pick it out.".
At first I was a little hurt that he didn't do it on his own, but, honestly with his work hours, shopping for him is impossible at times.
