A little early- but 9/30/05
Dear Baby Ryan-
It feels like just yesterday- that I found out I was pg. I remember that day to a "T". You came as a big surprise, but yet the greatest surprise EVER. I remember the first time I saw your beating heart, the first time I felt you move, and the first time I saw you kick, it was all the most wonderful things I have experienced in life..
Last year, 9/30/05- I remember waking up several times during the night- I knew you'd be here in a few short hours, however that didn't stop me from staying up all night wondering who you'd look like, and whether or not you'd have hair. When that alarm buzzed at 7am that morning, my life ~since then has been on fast forward. I remember taking my shower and having all these emotions, I loved you SO much while you were inside me- but BOY I had no clue what was about to take over me...
Daddy and I packed up the car, and drove off that crisp September morning. Journey was playing in the car, I kept trying to be calm and sing along with the music- but that wasn't helping me (or daddy )
I still remember walking, step by step to the OR. For a day that was moving SO fast- I felt as if someone had hit the slow-mo button on me. I could hear every single one of my foot steps...It was only minutes and then you were here- 11:06am...
They held you up above me, and I just wanted to kiss you all over- I couldn't believe how much you looked like daddy (this was then- you are all me now- you lucky,lucky boy  ) I kept calling out to you- however the Dr.'s kept reminding me they had to clean you up first!
We were not surprised when the yelled out 7lbs 12 oz- you had a good 4lbs in your cheeks alone...
My life had then been completed- Everything made sense... I laid there with you- and learned so much- I couldn't stop kissing you- I think at one point- I kissed you on your tongue- You were perfect all over and I wanted every single part of you.
Everynight I Thank God for what he has given me- I don't know what I've done to get so lucky in life, but Im glad I did it...
I've never been so happy to wake up @ 4am in all my life, just because Im seeing your glowing face and smile (however I like the fact we sleep in til 8 now- so if we could keep it that way- that'd be great!)
You have given me- something NO ONE else could give me- UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! Its the most powerful feeling in all the world. It has the Power to wipe all tears, heal all wounds, and make the darkest of days bright!
I cant imagine a world without listening to your giggles as I blow on you belly, or a world where you aren't trying to feed me your half eaten (and chewed) chicken nuggets- I have never been so grateful to clean juice off the floor EVERYDAY- in all my life!!!!
This past year has been AMAZING-
Watching you go from this little bobblehead baby- to watching you learn to smile, roll over, laugh, sit up, crawl, and walk... I love how we dance around the living room, and I love how silly we are together (daddy will never understand our craziness), Barney and I are BFF- all because of you!!!
You have made so many many many things clear- and are the answer to ALL our prayers. You are loved by so many- and complete our lives every second that passes.
Thank you for being the most beautiful, the sweetest , and the most precious little boy a mother could ever ask for. I cant imagine my life any other way- Im so IN LOVE with you, and I fall more and more every single day.
God-
Thank you for blessing me with this child, Im forever grateful. I promise to guide him in your path, and be the best mommy he could ever ask for. When I see that smile coming at me every single day- it reminds me of how truly awesome you are, and no matter how hard things can be at times- YOU always have a plan!
Ryan- you are mommys rainbow behind every cloud. Keep on being the AMAZING child you are!!
I love you- more than words can say!
