those of you on bcp- or those who have just stopped
how long does your doc recommend u wait before ttc?

As per my doctor... you "can" get PG in one month but you should wait 2-3 months. I waited 2.

I think generally they say 1 month.
And by the way, Your question is definitely not personal based on the standards of this board!

My Doc said we could try right away. I chose to wait 6 months to really get to know my cycles. Because I figured out that my O day was earlier than average with a shorter (26 day) cycle, it worked on our first try.

My doc wasn't very concerned about whther to wait or not. I waited 2 months because I somehow felt that was right for me.

same here...I waited 3 months to officially start...even though I wasn't being extra careful during those 3 months (still not preggo)

mine too.
We pushed back TTCing, but when we do I will be off of BC for about 1 year and 3 months (that's this coming Fall)

My doc said to wait until I got my first natural period after going off the pill. Basically, one month. He also said that me being on the pill for so long will have no bearing on my ability to conceive. I am ovulating just fine with a 28 day cycle.

my doc told me to wait 3 months when i first went off BC (to give the uterus time to strengthen). i waited 2 and that pregnancy ended in mc...
but then again, i hear about girls who get PG the first month off BC and they never have a problem??

my doctor said one month but if you got pregnant right away, there is no risk. I came off BCP in April and got my BFP in July, I was lucky to conceive so quickly

Just saw my Dr & she told me to come off the pill one month prior to TTC & start taking the prenatals she prescribed 4 months prior
