A little update...

This week i start seeing my Ob weekly and my high risk twice a Week for fetal monitoring, sonos and dopplers. This morning while at my OB, I was on the monitor and started having multiple contractions! Some I didn't even feel which freaks me out! So my OB did the FFN test on me to test for protein in my cervix which indicates pre term labor. If it's Positive I will know by tomorrow which means I have a very high chance of delivering these babies within the next two weeks. I'll be 33 weeks On Wed. Now I'm freaking out! Putting the last of what I need in my hospital bag and sanitizing pacifiers and bottles. Now to learn how to use my breast pump! lol Ahhh! Chat Icon Chat Icon

My proteins went up around that time and I delivered my DD at 32 weeks 5 days - she is a perfectly healthy happy 2 year old now. Also - it's great that they are monitoring. They will know whether to give you steroid shots for the baby's lungs and that helped my daughter breath on her own right away. I also pumped exclusively - which was a big pain - but it took off the weight SO fast. Just trying to give you a few silver linings - good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

She was 3 lbs, 13 ounces and just needed a little extra time in the NICU to grow. She was there 3 weeks. They told me before she was born, that every 8 hours that I stayed pregnant, would be one less day in the NICU. We took her home when she was 4 lbs 5 ounces. It wasn't easy, but what new baby is?
Chat Icon I was at Winthrop and they had a great setup - rooms to pump in with all the necessary equipment, places to rest, etc. If you wind up with some NICU time - I recommend getting as much sleep as you can at home. Sending you good vibes!

I haven't heard back from the OB which should mean that the protein test was negative! I had an appt with my High risk dr today and while on the monitor I was still having contractions. I guess as long as they don't become stronger and more frequent, we are still good!
