A neighbor of mine has Attention Deficit Disorder
or thinks he does. So what are the steps needed for testing? Who does he need to make a appointment with? He's looking for someone in the Suffolk county area.

his doctor. Then he can get referred by a social worker, psychologist or psychiatrist.

Yup, he needs to start with his PCP, who should be able to refer him to the appropriate specialist.

Oh, also, if it's a child, then I would think the parents can speak to a social worker at the child's school regarding testing. An adult should start with his primarcy care physician, who can refer him to the right specialist.
