A New Mom and Baby Girl Here on LIFamilies
Hi All,
I met member Labonnevie on the line at the Westbury Target when I was about six months pregnant. We got chatting about her lovely little baby girl and my bump and she told me about this site. I have been lurking ever since and just decided it was time to jump in!
My girl was born on May 17 at 8.2 lbs and almost 22" at Winthrop Hospital in Mineola. She is thriving--although she has her two-month checkup on Thursday and I am not looking forward to the shots! I can't help but include a few shots of her lovely face.
My husband is from Canada; I grew up on Long Island. We are currently living in a real fixer-upper we just bought this winter before the baby came. We both work as English professors and so have the summer off, which has been a lifesaver given the state of the house (and our lack of sleep).
I am looking forward to meeting lots of other LI moms and becoming more active on the site! I have learned so much already from all the topics on the board. Image Attachment(s):

OK, I figured out how to get the pics up. I may be biased but I think she is pretty cute.
Then again, all I seem to see on this site is gorgeous babies! Each profile pic is just lovely.
