On another note, I don't see anything wrong with trying to get something free even if nothing went wrong. For instance whenever I buy cosmetics I always ask at the counter if they have any freebies. With the way the economy is a lot of businesses are willing to throw in extras or give a percentage off, it doesn't hurt to ask!
I agree. My parents do this often- My mom's philosophy is "You don't ask, you don't get!"
For example, they went to a hotel and they were entitled to access to the concierge lounge where they would get free appetizer type foods and wine. One night the hotel randomly decided they were not going to open the lounge. My mom complained and asked if they could be comped some fruit and wine in their rooms.
Sure enough.. they got fruit and wine delivered to their rooms, PLUS some vouchers for the hotel's restaurant......
I see nothing wrong with Flowerwife's request!!
Sounds just like my mom! I used to be so embarassed as a teenager when she would ask if "anything comes free with that", now I'm following in her footsteps!

OK, so apparently dissenting opinions are not welcome on this board without the posts being called uniformed and snide. Great.

Not at all true, if you read through the post and many of the others on this board you will see that many of us have very different opinions. It's how you express/word them.
And your prior posts lead me to believe you aren't here for the right reasons. In particular a thread that you started with the subject being "Swine Flu" where the body of your post consisted of "That's all'"

You don't have to stir the pot... the AP does that just plenty. Check out their post history. ALL they have is snide/uninformed remarks.
Wow, how rude can you be? I guess no one on this site can voice their opinion but you...

No, if you read my post, I said similar things as you. Since you have no input to any post other than I said what I said. If you want to post, fine, but not just drama seeking nonsense.

I completely agree!
Many people before you disagreed with the original poster, but they put some thought into the manner in which they expressed those opinions.

Re: A PSA on TTC, Massages, and Red Door Spa
hey ladies!! I went for a massage the other day, and I'm in my first trimester. I had a prenatal massage, which is safe. My therapist told me that you have to stay away from anything that is deep tissue. And actually I have a few friends that are massage therapists that say that prenatal massage is safe. I had my OB appointment the same day, and she had no problem with it.

Re: A PSA on TTC, Massages, and Red Door Spa
FYI... PSA too!!!
NJ has different Laws on Massage than in NY State.
NOBODY can be forced to perform a massage on anyone if they don't feel comfortable doing so.
It IS company policy with A LOT of businesses. FYI... I used to work for the place you mentioned. In addition, Red Door in NY asks for a Dr. notes to give you a massage.
Yes, you CAN get massage in your 1st trimester. But only if someone is willing to massage you. This is a very "fragile" time. Do not take it lightly. Most likely you will not have low back massage done.
Only get massaged by someone who is certified. Not just do PG massage.
There is NO deep tissue while PG. Hiding that you might be PG, that you take certain drugs is NOT smart at all. While businesses are trying to CYA from lawsuits it's BECAUSE things have happened in the past that made people sue in the first place. Why would you sue if nothing would ever happen, right? You ARE concidered a high risk if you had IF, fertility issues, etc...
Again, this is to PROTECT a mom to be.
If you are PG, please ask ANY places you are getting a massage at, what their policies are.
The bigger the place, the most likely you will have "restrictions".
