a question about pregnancy pillows
so, i am currently sleeping on on air mattress (long story) and clearly not getting enough sleep....
since i wont be having a real bed for the next 6 weeks or so (I'm currently 18w3d), I feel like i should splurge on a pregnancy pillow.
i currently use a tempurpedic as my regular pillow and another firm pillow that either goes between my legs are near my side depending on how im sleeping.
what should i get? are these pillows really worth it? or are they overhyped?
ive been waking up sore the past two days, so right now a big cozy pillow sounds ideal.
any feedback would be great. DH said if i send him a link today, he would try to buy something for me after work...

a question about pregnancy pillows
i'm about as far along as you are and have been in the same dilemma - trying to figure out if i should invest in a pregnancy pillow or use something i already have.
after using various regular pillows around me during sleep, that would inevitably fall off onto the floor, I thought about using a down filled cozy winter comforter rolled up into a log shape or whatever shape my body contours to it, and it's been working out great. i was worried the pregnancy body pillow would be too stiff or not enough support, so i was going back & forth trying to find one. and when i found one with great reviews, it was about $100, and so i thought to try the comforter.
hth :)

Re: a question about pregnancy pillows
I have the snoogle. At times I really like it. Earlier on (closer to where you are) I found it very comfortable and it provided great support. Now, it doesn't really do much as a full body pillow so I sleep with it under or between my knees and I use a regular pillow that I hold against my stomach to relieve pressure.

Re: a question about pregnancy pillows
I loved the snoogle when I was pregnant with my first. I then gave it to a friend to use and she too loved it. I plan on buying another one this time around.

Re: a question about pregnancy pillows
I used to have the boppy body pillow
it was ok but as you can see in the pic while it looks good her knees aren't getting much of the support from the pillow. I often had to adjust the pillow so i could have it between my knees.
now I bought a plain rectangular body pillow from BB&B for $19.99 and i love it. they also have the covers for them in different colors and they are so smooth and soft!

a question about pregnancy pillows
I have the Snoozer and love it!!!! I sleep with my dog and he loves it too so my only issue at night is fighting him for it LOL.
But I think it's great because you can bend it anyway you want to make you comfortable.

Re: a question about pregnancy pillows
I have the fake snoogle. It is the BRU version. It is ok. I have a bad back and sometimes I feel worse using it. I have a body pillow I use as well.

a question about pregnancy pillows
I used the Snoogle 3 years ago while pregnant and didn't love it. I find the $20 body pillow from Bed Bath more comfy. If anyone is interested in buying my Snoogle, I am in Bayport. Happy Sleeping!
