Caiden's looks fine, but it kept reattaching itself when he was younger so we kept having to pull it down. It was red and tender sometimes. It eventually corrected itself when he got to a certain age because "it" got bigger. Chat Icon Chat Icon

We had to take Joseph to a pediatric urologist where they pulled the skin apart because it had adhered to itself.

I guess I need more info on why you think he didn't do a good job?

My ped. said that even though Andy's was "very nice looking" to use vaseline at every diaper change until he's out of diapers to keep it from re-attaching.

Same with my son. His circ was fine, it was just was hidden in a "turtleneck". He is no worse for the wear and is completely fine today.

Same here. I ask the ped at every visit. She said once he gets bigger it should be fine.

Mine is similar to this - circ is fine but hidden in the turtleneck. So I have to push it out and vaseline it often to prevent it adhering. Not fun with a 2 year old. Doctor said it happens when babies have some fatty deposits down there - more common in chubby babies.

Trish when did Andrew pop out so to say? I am still waiting and Kevin is 2 now...they said it can last as longs as 5 years old. I can't imagine vaselining a 5 year old - lol

I guess we stopped putting vaseline on shortly after he turned 2... It's still hidden at times, but since he's potty training, we have more time to make sure its out and not adhering... A little easier. I too thought there wouldn't be an end in sight. But we're fine now.
