a "regular" endocrinologist after baby?
I was seeing an RE for awhile and got PG through IVF. Now that the baby is here, I was thinking I should see a "regular" endo to have my thyroid and some other levels re-checked. Has anyone done this after getting pg while seeing an RE? Any recommendations in Suffolk? Thanks!

No recommendations in Suffolk, but I have one in Great Neck if that's of any use to you. He seems fine, today will be my second visit.
I never went to an RE--we had an appt., but then I got pregnant, so I cancelled it.
FM me if you have questions. There aren't so many of them out there, and it takes awhile to get an appt.

Oh, I was going to add, definitely worth getting thyroid levels checked. They often are off during the postpartum period. If it's too hard to get to an endocrinologist, your primary care doctor can run the tests also, and refer you if there is a problem.

I didnt go to an RE but PP I went for my annual physical thru my PCP and my thyroid counts were all out of wack. I am seeing an Endo now to regulate the counts. Sorry I wouldnt refer my Endo, he is a jerk and unfortunately I have crappy insurance so I dont have many choices.

I have a WONDERFUL endo in Patchogue. If that's an area you'd like to go, FM me for info.
