interesting...
I worked at a residential facility with a student from a different cultural background. It was customary for him (and his family members as I later found out) to shower after having a bowel movement. He is Muslim. Not sure if it was just HIS family that did this, or if it's in fact a thing that people do in the Muslim community.

That so weird. My husband does that too. If he can't then he will "wash up" really good with a washclothe and soap! OCD!!

THANK YOU ALL! I am showing this to DH. I really think he is OCD. He cannot poop without taking a shower right after, sometimes that's like 2 or 3 times a day!
Sounds like my DH!!!!!!!!!!!! I joke he is the cleanist man around!

both Anthony and I take a quick lower body shower every time we poop

Nope, I don't feel the need to shower after every BM.
BUT, I think a lot of men in general do feel this way because they tend to be hairier than women and it's not as easy to clean.

If I happen to have already showered, I would prob. not shower again. I do have a strong preference for the poop-shower order to be poop first then shower. In fact, I got one of my summer house friends to change his morning routine for life!!! He was explaining about how regular he is and what he does before work each day. I convinced him to reverse the order from shower then poop to poop then shower. I kid you not. We joke about it all the time but he really did change this!
