A true test of my emotional strength yesterday
I went to pick up my DD from school yesterday and as I was walking in to get her backpack, one of the mom's of a child in her class, ran up to me and asked me if I was pregnant.
Um, first of all, you aren't supposed to ask that. EVER.
Second of all, it's very hard not to assume that you are asking because I *look* pregnant, despite the 20lbs I've just lost.
I politely told her no, and said that my DD's teacher has been asking the same thing, which I had told her wasn't an "appropros" question to ask. She immediately blushed and flustered.
I can't entirely blame her, because apparently the reason she asked is because my DD was running around telling everyone yesterday that she's having a little brother. Where she got this from, I have no idea...
Sigh...
I can't lie. That one stung a little. Ouchy!

 Awww, I'm so sorry. I can imagine that would def. sting. I know when my DB's daughter told me she felt the baby in my belly a few months ago that stung a lot. Then when I told her I didn't the questions that followed were even harder...

Oh that is really hard to deal with. Maybe she's predicting the future (the very near future).
People don't even bring it up to me anymore. I was at a party on Sat night. We were ONLY ones without kids. Luckily it wan an adult party, so no kids. And not one person asked us. I was actually wondering if everyone knew we were dealing with IF. And I had been drinking so if someone did ask me I would have talked their ear off. And the party was for my friend who has two IVF girls, so maybe they just know better.

My new favorite is...I have some news but I don't want you to get upset...so and so is pregnant.
1. If you think something is going to upset me, why bother telling me?
2. I'd like to think I can at least pretend to be excited for someone elses pregnancy! Give me some credit!
That really is a test of strength. I know that must have really stung!!! So many people just don't get it.

Oh that does stung!! I HATE when people ask that question... People really have no shame!! I was asked a few weeks ago if I was pregnant by a co-worker (again) cause she said I was "glowing". (Maybe I was sweating cause I had AF at the time...  ) I came home and cried (as usual when I get asked that question!)
But really people should keep their thoughts to themselves! When we have something to share we will surely share it!! People should only know and think twice before they speak!
