A way TMI post-IUI question
Hi ladies! I had my first IUI of my b2b this morning, and it seemd to go fine. Dr. B mentioned that my cervix was "pointing downward." I asked what that meant, and he said nothing, but that he had to lift it. Anyhow, both times that I've gone to the bathroom since, I've had a LOT of discharge/CM and it has had some blood in it. Have you ever had this after an IUI? I figure the light bleeding might be due to the cervix being irritated.
(I can't believe I'm sharing this much information about my bodily functions online.  )

Not to worry!
I do remember having some pinkish CM/ discharge with one of my IUI's too. I think with that same IUI I started spotting as well, I can't remember if it was two different ones. Regardless, the next day, I called the office just to make sure that everything was ok and they said it was most likely from the cervix being irritated and inflammed. I think it's completely normal but still keep an eye on it!

totally normal 
sometimes the cervix can be inflamed or cause slight spotting but it should pass within a day. I'd assume the CM is because you're ovulating as well?
you going back tomorrow for the 2nd one?

totally normal and yes it probably is the cervix being a little irritated. I was warned that I may spot a little too with my IUIs

If it makes you feel any better, when I went on Monday, I was told that my cervix was "really down there," whatever the heck that means! At the moment, it meant that the dr had to reposition the speculum further in. That was loads of fun.

I had my IUI Monday afternoon and just noticed a tiny bit of spotting (or spot of red/brown discharge) tonight... Is that normal - 3 days later?
