AC Wall Units Electric question

If you had your ac wall unit installed did you have an electrician come and run a seperate line?

No but keep in mind that most window ACs use between 6 and 10amps. If you have a lot of other stuff on that circuit you may trip it (like hihat lights, HDTVs etc).

Definitely don't plug any vacuum cleaners into another outlet that share the same circuit when the AC is on.

Thanks. In the bedroom I didnt care but that's exactly what i'm worried about in the living room I have an hdtv, cable, computer and hi hats.

I had a separate 220 line run in my living room. It's a big unit though.

A 220 line is for much larger units and has a special plug. It doesn't look like your normal AC outlet.

I would first find out how many circuits are used in your bedroom, including the lights.

Then see how many amps your AC uses. Most breakers are 15amps so you want to stay under that for your total electric usage on that circuit.
