Accent walls
We are in the process of painting our living room and we have the wall with the fireplace as an accent wall. Right now it's painted darker and a different color than the rest of the walls. Can you paint an accent wall (it would be just 1 wall) lighter than the other walls or would that look stupid? Thanks!

Re: Accent walls
Do you mean a darker color in the same color family as the other walls?
In our bedroom Im planning to do one wall a reddish color and the other walls either white or light beige.
Ive been seeing alot of this lately on TV and magazines and personally, I love the look. Even though when someone first mentioned it to me, I thought it was weird. You have to see it, I think, to really get an idea of how it will look.

Re: Accent walls
We used to have one big wall in our LR 2 shades lighter than the other 2 walls (the other side was open)
