ack! just realized I need to buy a lot of supplies!
for my fellow 3rd trimester moms-to-be:
We were watching a labor and delivery dvd and just realized I haven't bought yet:
vinyl cover for our mattress (in the freak chance my water breaks while in bed)
need to snag chuck pads to protect the carseat in case my water breaks in the car
nursing pads
heavy flow overnight maxi pads
some sort of cheap nursing bra that is somewhat vague in it's specific size....

ITA about the mattress cover, but also because of the potential for mess after delivery: sweating to rid the body of all that extra water, nighttime maxi leaks (sorry, a little gross), and leaks if nursing.
When I mentioned this to DH yesterday, he affirmed how happy he is to be a guy!

Mattress pad is also handy for when you have DC in your bed - either to sleep or just hang out and he/she pukes or poops 
My water broke in my mom's car and to this day I have not questioned how that clean up went but let's just say, after the fact, I was thrilled she ended up bringing me to the hospital since I had just gotten a new car a month earlier

I just started getting everything together. I'm so nervous about the water breaking thing. I feel like I should walk around with garbage bags for when I sit on other people's couches and stuff.  The lady at the BF class I took said to get a nursing bra about 2 weeks before you're due. Get 2 that fit well and 1 that's a size bigger since your boobies will grow when the milk comes in. I'll get those soon. I did just get the maxi's. The nurse at my Lamaze class recommended the Kotex Overnights.........said they are the best. Feels like there is so much to do and so little time left!!

Actually I am well prepared.
A friend of mine told me a while back to get a mattress cover because her water did break during the night and wished someone would have told her to get one.
Mattress cover has been on my mattress for a few weeks already
I had a m/c in October and bought a bag of heavy duty pads. I only used 1 so I have a full bag already.
My cousin got me nursing pads
The only thing I dont have is a nursing bra because the boobs seem to be getting bigger by the day
