ackkkk.. social security card for DD
I just spent forever waiting on hold with Social Security to find out status of DD card and they arent able to help me.. I still have not received card and they said i have to go down to social security in person to find out status of card.. Now how am i going to do that when i have a newborn at home and no one to watch her.. I gotta get there just in case the card was sent and someone else got it.. b/c my mailman is a bozo who doesnt know how to give people the correct mail...ACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK
just had to vent my fustration..

one month.. but the lady on the phone said it should only take about 4 weeks.. normally i would wait longer but b/c of my mailman im scared too.

I think our babies were born around the same date and I just got mine yesterday and the birth certificate that came at the same time. Maybe it's in today's mail!

I was hoping but it wasnt. I got the birth cert. last week.

It typically takes 4 weeks from when the hospital actually processes it with your BC. If you gave birth at Stony Brook, well they are horribly slow at processing everything.

Stony Brook told us about 4-6 weeks. But, I called after that long & they said they were way behind schedule...so many babies were born when Danny was!! I didn't get his until more than 3 months I think!!

That's the standard line. I got the same thing. I think if they only had 10 babies born, they would still be just as slow. I chalk it up to the fact that it's a state hospital and they take their sweet time with everything.

we got DS' around 5 or 6 weeks or so. I wouldn't start to worry until at least 8 weeks or so.

it took FOREVER to get mine and then I realized that when I got my dd's birth certificate that there was an eroor so I had to wait forever to get that fixed too
