Acne & Face Makeup

Right now my skin is awful. I have never had such bad acne problems in my life.

It is actually embarrassing. I'm never been a fan of foundation but I need to do something.

Can anybody recommend their foundation to help hide this?

Thanks!

I use bare escentuals make-up....their bisque has great coverage! I too am having major skin issues right now and their makeup makes me feel "not so ugly"

I am having the same problem but even with concealer and foundation, my breakouts are showing through. Plus, I think all the makeup is making them worse Chat Icon

I am interested in trying the bare essentuals! Anything that covers this mess up without looking cakey is what I'm looking for.

Re: Acne & Face Makeup

I use bare minerals if I have the energy to....I swear I get up with energy but the 10min it takes to shower zaps it all out...Right now it's a ponytail and moisturizer. I use the tea tree oil toner, wash, and matifier 2xa day. It seems to hyelp, but once a week I use a salisilic acid scrub(?)

Re: Acne & Face Makeup

As a makeup artist..I recommend using Aveno Oatmeal Bar when you wash your face. It really lets the skin breathe as well as clean the face gently. As far as makeup goes, I would use Clinique foundation stick..it allows you to use as much or as little as you would like and gives great coverage.

During my pregnancy my skin was horrible and then I used these products and in about 5 days..my face was cleared up and I felt much better.

I hope this was helpful :)

Re: Acne & Face Makeup

I too use Bare Escentuals. Very quick and easy, and good coverage without looking cakey!

I actually went to the dermatologist for my acne and he prescribed topical erythromicin, which has helped tons, and my ob said was completely safe. If you're self conscious, go to the doctor! No need to feel worse about ourselves than we have to!
