Have a 2 hr brunch for my sons birthday out. Doing Mickey theme. 8 kids. What activities can I put on the table to keep kids busy? Should I get some form of entertainment or just activities like play doh sand art etc.

Tough one...

From 3 on I really thought Clowns.com did a great job of entertainment. You can even get a costumed character. Those balloon guys are great too (but involve a long line and parents waiting).

BUT 2 is young and they probably won’t remember much. A 2 hour brunch is short and I’d probably just save entertainment for the future.

For activities, the best we had was to decorate those $1 frames with stickers.

Play Doh and Sand Art sound messy around food. For DD's 1st birthday I went to the Dollar Store and Michael's and got a bunch of crafts and made a goody bag for each child that they got when they walked in. It had a coloring book, crayons, stickers, sticky foam pieces, etc. Each child was totally content between eating.

Agreed. I wouldn't want to bring such messy stuff to a restaurant, the staff may hate that.

I'd get foam stickers and crafts, color wonder markers, wikki sticks. I don't think you can go wrong with a balloon artist face painter type person, especially if there's not room for the kids to get up and move around.

Color wonder and water wow.

I have a stash in the car for restaurants.

ETA board games? My 3 year old loves candy land, sequence for kids, don’t break the ice, chutes and ladders.

Maybe get a few packs of crayons from the dollar store and a bunch of coloring books - mickey themed or not. Also, at Michael's you can usually get a cute craft for pretty cheap. I think I got foam snowmen for my son's first birthday, so the kids could sit down and make a snow man out of foam stickers.
