Actual Night at the Museum outing for older kids
Saw this in a Newsday article. I wish Jesse was old enough to do it, but I thought maybe someone here might be interested.
Sleepover, Long Island-style. The Long Island Children's Museum is organizing a family sleepover for the night of Feb. 3 - deemed "The Academy of Magic" - involving animal activities, magic potions and breakfast the next morning. $42, member discount available. More information at licm.org.

Atlantis Marine World has sleepovers, too. Very cute. I told my little guy if we don't have his birthday party there we'll let him "sleep with the fishies" one night.

My cousin took her class to do this a few years back. She said it was awesome. The kids got to sleep in their sleeping bags under the big whale that's hanging up.
