acupuncture after positive pregnancy test
Did anyone who had been getting acupuncture for fertility continue acupuncture after they got a positive test? and how long did you continue, this is getting expensive!

Re: acupuncture after positive pregnancy test
I went to acupuncture for IF treatments and after my positive pregnancy test I continued for a maybe 3 weeks, but only once a week. After that I went in one or two times between 10-20 weeks just for relaxation.

acupuncture after positive pregnancy test
I went before pregnancy and have continued after pregnancy. I'm 35 weeks today and still go once a week. It helps me to relax and then if I was suffering from anything else....nausea, sciatica, congestion, etc. It helped with that as well.

Do you think it helped for labor? What does it do? Just relax you or is there something specific?

I did acupuncture when I was told that I needed to explore IVF and other options because I was dealing with infertility for almost two years.
After just shy of three months of acupuncture treatments I became pregnant. After that point, I continued with acupuncture during my entire pregnancy - the whole nine months. It was amazing for the baby, increased blood flow to the baby and placenta, and just overall - it was fantastic. I was active my entire pregnancy - I think the acupuncture helped in so many ways. I highly recommend it.
Toward the end, there were certain spots the acupuncturist would avoid because they COULD bring about a contraction... Although with some clients once they were "overdue" and were waiting to "go" he would do certain spots to help bring about that labor!
But yeah, it is somewhat pricey -- my guy is very reasonable -- so I'm told -- in comparison to most licensed acupuncturists.
HTH!
