Acupunture question

I am thinking of going for acupuncture. Does anyone go for acupuncture? I have a few questions if you could help. What do you go for? is it covered under insurance or is it out of pocket? If it's out of pocket how much does it cost? How did you find your acupuncturist?

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Acupunture question

I have gone, I went for ringing in my ears. He is a friend of mine, so I am not sure how much he charges, but I know he does take insurance.
His office is in Manhattan, he is very good and very well respected.

I go, my DH goes. He does it for his back, (slipped and bulging disc, ciatica)I go for my TMJ, And she is awesome. Dh crawled in there Literally and walked out. I love her, I will also be going for fertility. Our insurance covers it all, I pay $20 co-pay when there.

Re: Acupunture question

I've been to quite a few...

My insurance doesn't cover it, and it has ranged from $60 to over $100

Re: Acupunture question

I've gone for insomnia, anxiety, headaches and fertility issues. Some insurance companies will cover acupuncture. Mine didn't and I paid $60-$90 a visit.
