Adding a bathroom dormer & convert garage
I am looking at a cape that has two bedrooms and closet in the middle upstairs. What would the cost be just to dormer and add a bathroom, not necessarily dormer the bedrooms yet.
Also does anyone know about converting garage to living space? Thanks!

Re: Adding a bathroom dormer
I know when we were looking at levitt capes we were told to make that closet a bathroom would cost aroun 5-10K, but that wasn't with a dormer.

so then it would be a half bath? I'm not sure a shower would fit...

Re: Adding a bathroom dormer
My friend has a cape and added a bathroom upstairs and I want to say it was around $8. They added a full bath.

no, you can do a full bath (ie with a shower stall if you take space from the ajjoining bedroom closet). I know that's how we saw many down without dormers in Levitt capes.
