Do I need to take a NY state civil service test when applying for an administrative position? I plan on sending my resume to town hall and school district offices. I have over 10 years experience working as a an executive assistant and project manager. I have been a SAHM for the past 4 years but now ready to go back at least part time.

Is it worth taking the test? For those that have taken the test how long was it and what kinds of questions do they ask?
