adult acne
Hi all. I have recently been breaking out, most likely due to the stress of planning a wedding and looking for a job. Its not too bad but it's starting to get on my nerves. I have topical stuff from dermo. Does anyone have an herbal supplement advice? My mom is taking fish oil which has gotten rid of her exzema so I thought maybe something would help acne. Any suggestions?

I have tried so many things for my acne, and I just recently started taking flax seed oil. It has been working so much better than any other topical treatment I have used. It's very gross to swallow, but I truly have seen great improvements, not to mention that it is good for you for so many other reasons.

Is it cystic acne or just pimples? My face used to be a mess and then I started getting facials. I get them every 6-8 weeks and it has really helped me so much!

Not wearing make up when possible. With this pregnancy I broke out but I noticed I havent worn make up and my skin is looking refreshed.

DH started using ProActiv about 3 years ago and still swears by it!

I had adult acne to the point that I was on accutane a few times. Its the only thing that cleared me completly, until now...I went to a derm in princeton and he presecribed me spironolactone...and I havent had a pimple since....This is my miracle cure.//cause I didnt want to ver go on accutane again!

Ive broken out alot recently as well - due to grad school and work
I just bought some sulfur ointment ( like Mario Badescu) and its drying up the pimples very fast. I just wish I didnt get them in the first place

did you get your hormones checked out? Many times an imbalance can cause acne (which is why they prescribe certain BCs)

Omega 3 works great!!!!! I use this along with St. Ives apricot scrub for blemishes and clearasol pads/toner. I have noticed a sig change. I had very pimply skin, and in my wedding pics I do not have any foundation on ony eyes/cheeks/lips. Good luck...oh and it's a pretty inexpensive too

I posted before about the spironolactone and I gotta tell ya...this is the best stuff I have ever taken. I dont even get a blemish when it is that time of the month now...its GREAT!
