Adult ADHD
A psychiatrist would be who you need to go to. He/she would recommend what medication and monitor doses. You will have to check back monthly for renewal of the prescription.
Several adults I know take medications for it and say it makes a big difference. They told me that they are glad they overcame their reluctance to go to a psychiatrist and made the effort.

yeah my buddy is on medication and sees a doctor. Same as above, she's very grateful that she went and the meds are helping immensely.

You can also see a neurologist IF they are accepting new ADHD patients.
