I am so sorry you are still feeling awful.. I have a fabulous Gastroenterologist in Garden City if you would like the name.. he is so wonderful.. My mother had similar symtoms to you a few years back and while protonix worked for her, there may be something else you can try.. You can't live like this.. All this vomiting is no good for your stomach and esophagus.. you are going to wear away the lining and that causes a whole other set of problems.. I really do hope you feel better bc your symptoms are just awful to deal with on a regular basis..

Thank you I spoke with a Pharmacist today who said that the symptoms I described can def be caused by protonix. today i feel a tiny litte smidge better but not nearly as good as I wish. I am seeing the psychiatrist at 230...i will keep you posted..

find a new dr...one who will listen and FAST!

for almost 2 years my mother had the worst stomach issues. it would be over a week before she would be able to poop ( )
Her stomach would swell the second she would put anything into her mouth. she could barely eat and at times all she did was puke.

her stomach dr. took all sorts of tests and found nothing substantial..just some ulcers. Kept pumping her full of antibiotics. Finally after almost 2 years of nothing working (why my mother waited so long i dont know) the dr. finally said her problem is stress and needs to take paxil. he wrote her a script, but she refused to take it. Deep down she knew that wasn't the problem. that was the dr's last resort b/c he couldn't figure out what was wrong.

lo and behold, my father was online looking for bread recipes and came across all this stuff on yeast and symptoms of an over development of it in the body.
wouldn't you know...my mothers problem was yeast. and all the antibiotics she was on for years just perpetuated the problem.

with a change in diet, anti yeast medicine, probiotics she is now 100x's better.

you need to be your own advocate. find a new dr..one that will listen. I hate when dr's think they know everything and insist the problem is in your head, when clearly its not.

Still not doing so good... it goes from naseouesness,...to gagging..to dizzyness and migraine..and i m convinced it is from the protonix meds.... i feel like this medicine has ruined me.. i spoke to my old gastro (from 5 yrs ago who never took my insurance anymore) and my pharmacist who said that there is always a chance that it is from the meds and I just hafta wait out the symptoms..sometimes it can take 7 days or longer who knows.. i m mainly just coping at this point..I am so tired.. I made a doctors appt with ANOTHER general doctor for thursday...so we shall see what they say..

i went to the psych...he wants me to take the xanax two times a day at the lowest dosage and def see another regular dr... he says my symptoms and situation really do seem like it is from an illness and not in my head...i have another appt with him next week..and i m going to try and take the xanax as he wants me too..he promised at sucha low dosage i should stop worrying about being "addicted"...

i toook another preggo test..still def negavtive...so i cant imagine why im so naseous, gagging, and have sucha migraine if it ISNT the medicine getting out of my body..

i also made a gastro appt with another new dr for wednesday.. i just feel like all i can do is deal with the symptoms at this point, i pray i can get through work tomorrow without being sick :(
