Advice on a bed for a 2 year old

Hi Ladies,

Okay, G is a very restless sleeper. He has been in a toddler bed for the last 2 to 3 months. He has coxsackie last week, so he is sleeping with us, which I am not liking.

What I am noticing, is I think the toddler bed is to small for him and I don't think he likes it because he can't turn sideways, like he does with us in our bed (which annoys me to death when I am trying to sleep).

But anyway, I am thinking about re-introducing him to a new bed. I am thinking about getting him a full size and put it on the floor. I am thinking he will be more comfortable and will be able to be the restless sleeper he is in is own bed.

Has anyone done this?

We have Peyton's matress and boxspring in the floor for now with a bedrail. She was 2 in April. She wanted a big girl bed like her sister and I did not want it too high up off the ground just yet.

MY SIL did this with 2 of her 3 kids. My older niece went to a queen from her crib (they had the mattress already) and they just put it on the floor until she was ready for more height.
My other niece was in a full on the floor until recently.
I know for us we are going to a big boy bed and skipping the toddler bed altogether because DS is a big boy and a mover when he sleepS!

Landon is currently in a twin bed and will be moving into a full sized bed when we moved next month. I am not putting it on the floor though.
