Aetna Insurance & Stony Brook, OBGYN recomdendations needed

Today I got a letter in the mail from Aetna that I can no longer use Stony Brook after 2/15/201. I'm so upset they said I can't deliver there because I'm not in my second trimester.

Since I use three village womens health and they only deliver at SB I need to find another obgyn, and not Suffolk OBGYN either.

I guess I'm looking for a good obgyn that delivers at St Charles or St. Catherines

TIA

I just got that letter the other day, too. Luckily, I'm already delivering at St. Catherine's and in my second trimester so if need be, I could deliver at SB, but I'm so upset. I love my dr's office if you want to give them a call. They only send high risk to SB, everyone else goes to St. Catherines (which is where I delivered my DD and had a great experience).
I use Womens Health Professionals. I love all the drs. there, but my main dr. is Dr. Marin. She's fantastic. The number is 862-3800

I wouldnt rush and switch just yet. This happens all the time with SB and the major insurance companies and they usually negotiate within a few weeks. You are early enough that I would give it a little time!

If you do want to switch, I go to the same dr's as the previous poster, Womens Health Professionals. I've used all the dr's, and Dr. Amorin (she's pretty new to the practice) is my favorite!
