After 17 months of marriage...
I finally got my dress preserved! My beautiful dress is cleaned and packed away... maybe I'll have a daughter who'll want it someday...

oh good i don't feel so bad then! I'm almost at 12 months (yeah 1 year!) and my dress is still hanging in my room! i want to take it all the time, but never get around to doing it for some reason! i hope all the stains still come out!

I took it to The Dry Cleaner (clever name, right?) in East Meadow. He's right on Hempstead Tpke, across from the hospital. It was much less expensive than having a bridal shop do it.

Jim Jams also does it, they're a dry cleaner but they are wedding dress specialists...thats where I'm taking mine after my day after shoot...
You can also put in your veil, or any other day-of items you won't wear again and would like preserved...my friend did her veil, garter and her hubby's yarmulke.

Haha I just said to my friend I think I am going to wear my wedding dress for Halloween -- since it is our anniversary weekend I thought I would wear one more time and then finally have it cleaned and preserved!

No, it was about $200. Not terrible.
