After almost 2 weeks of trying, he latched on...
I am so happy. I have been exclusively pumping because he would not latch on. It was hard because in the NICU I couldn't even try.
Well, he just did his first feeding without the bottle

Julia was in NICU too for a few days after I had her, and the nurses didnt know I wanted to BF (I was so angry they didnt ask me) but thankfully Julia latched on with out a problem. I had a lot of help from my LC.

SOOOOO exciting, I am at the end of BFing my almost 1 year old son and I have to tell you that there is nothing like being successful in BFing your child (IMO), the closeness is unreal, I am already strating to miss since i know it is only a few more weeks . Enjoy and remember to ask for advice and upport on these boards when you feel you need help!!

Gosh this is wonderful.
I am going to have to share this with my sister who is struggling with BF right now. Her baby is 1 week old and she is pumping and giving bottles, because her little one will not latch on. I hope this will give her some encouragement to continue trying.

That is such awesome news! Emily didn't breastfeed often but on the few occasions that she did it was a great feeling. I wish you the best with this experience!
